Bitspin's Timely, which has an average rating of 4.5 stars on the Google Play store, has been bought by Google according to an announcement Bitspin posted on its website. 

"We're thrilled to announce that Bitspin is joining Google, where we'll continue to do what we love: building great products that are delightful to use. 

"For new and existing users, Timely will continue to work as it always has. Thanks to everyone who has downloaded our app and provided feedback along the way; we truly appreciate all your support". 

Google are yet to confirm the acquisition although following the deal the app has gone free on the Google Play store. 

Timely can be personalised with different colours according to your mood and syncs all your alarms across every mobile device. 

Bitspin, based in Zurich, is made up of a small team including a few former Google interns.
